This Quarter Scale Pawnee has been constructed by Mark Hunt.

 

The kit is from Model Design in South Australia and has a 110 inch / 2.795 metre wing span.

It’s powered by a Genoah twin 80cc ad has primarily been built for Aero towing and aerobatics.

 

The construction steps are listed below:

 

Wing Root receiver installed. Ply doublers top and bottom of joiner

 

 

 

 

Wing Joiner Receivers Installed. – Ply doublers top and bottom of joiner.

 

 

 

 

 

Rudder – built up. – ply hardpoints

 

 

 

 

 

Elevator – built up with ply hard points.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Horizontal Stabiliser – built up with ply Hard Points

 

 

Wing joiner – completion.

Carbon Strengthening – lots of ply for Wing center section

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How it looks so far – notice wing tip build up. – all tips and control surfaces covered with 3oz carbon (like Rudder in picture) – Wings laminated with .8mm Ply. Leading edge – ply with balsa former, then 3 oz carbon.
